MMPRC’s ongoing global campaign, ‘Reconnect with Maldives’ has been aired on CNN. A 30-min program was broadcasted on December 11 on CNN International’s Europe, Middle East Africa, Asia Pacific, South Asia, North America and Latin America feeds.
The program showcased the unique experiences travelers can indulge in while in the exquisite destination of Maldives. Highlights included the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Baa Atoll, traditional music, how locals make the instruments, local food and life within local communities.
Notable work of NGOs present in the Maldives, such as Manta Trust and Reefscapers threw light on the importance of environmental awareness in the destination. Additionally, stories of the first local female PADI course instructor, a local chef and the all women boduberu music group “Faimini Boduberu Group” allowed viewers to connect with the Maldives.
MMPRC’s global campaign with CNN is aimed to promote Maldives to a wider audience as the preferred destination for travel in the new normal. It focuses on providing information on the stringent measures that are in place at the wide range of accommodations available in the country.
CNN is also marketing the destination via digital platforms through ads and banners, along with content exposure on the social media handles of CNN.
