Marriott International's Maldives resorts are set to revolutionize career growth and leadership development with the launch of KURIMAGU, a visionary program designed to empower local talents for exceptional success.
Named after the Maldivian word for "growth," KURIMAGU reflects Marriott International's commitment to nurturing homegrown talent. This comprehensive leadership program seeks to identify, enhance skills, and offer opportunities to Maldivian talents, enabling them to achieve higher career positions within Marriott International.
Aligned with Marriott International's core values, KURIMAGU places people first, pursues excellence, embraces change, upholds integrity, and serves the global community. Spanning over 12 months, the program entails a specific nomination process and combines both in-person and virtual sessions, self-paced e-learning, enlightening mentorship, engaging fireside discussions with senior leaders, and insightful conversations with industry experts.
Mentorship plays a pivotal role in KURIMAGU, as seasoned hoteliers guide participants with feedback, support, and guidance throughout their career journey. The program fosters a collaborative environment, enabling participants to share insights and learn from one another. The program will culminate in a graduation ceremony scheduled for August 2024.
