The 31st Annual General Meeting of the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry has taken place today.
Graced by the presence of 78 of its members, the meeting was officiated with the opening remarks by Hon. Mohamed Umar Manik, Chairman of MATI. It was followed by Hon. Ahmed Nazeer highlighting the official proceedings of the AGM.
MATI had a busy year in 2020 despite the ongoing pandemic, which was reviewed in a video presentation. The Annual and Financial reports of 2020 were deliberated on, while Adoption of the Budget and the Appointment of Auditors, both for the year 2021, took place. Additionally, amendments proposed to the Charter of MATI were reviewed and adopted by the members.
The AGM concluded with the election of board members for the year 2021-2022. The electees for the Executive Board of MATI are:
