Kengo Tomito joins the kitchens at Nautilus Maldives as the newly-appointed Executive Chef of the luxury resort. Chef Kengo has an impressive career in the Culinary field with 27 years of experience adding to his equally rich knowledge and insight of the industry.
He has a keen interest to curate and deliver exquisite dishes infused with international flavours and unique charisma- a skill he has perfected over the years with his expertise on Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine. The signature statement of his dishes is marked by the simplicity and taste he brings to his creations.
During his career, Chef Kengo has worked at numerous Michelin-star restaurants across the world, building his vast knowledge in culinary excellence. He has also served as Executive Chef for six years, a role he is currently filling again at Nautilus Maldives. Hailing from Japan, Chef Kengo’s career has taken flight in many celebrated destinations around the world, where he worked for some of the most esteemed hotel and resort chains. This includes celebrated metropolises like Spain, Dubai, Thailand, Fiji, Moscow and the Maldives.
Before stepping in as the Executive Chef at Nautilus Maldives, Chef Kengo served in the same position at Six Senses Fiji, where he supervised 3 different restaurants comprising of a team of 35 members. With a passion for sustainable and healthy culinary practices, Chef Kengo hopes to bring a holistic approach to dining at Nautilus Maldives.
