Meet Nova Maldives New General Manager- Abdulla Aboobakuru

Deemed the brightest star in town, the newly opened Nova Maldives has welcomed its all-new General Manager to the team, Mr. Abdulla Aboobakuru. A familiar face in the hospitality industry of Maldives, Abdulla brings a wealth of experience in luxury hospitality to Nova with a remarkable career well into its 2nd decade. At Nova Maldives, Abdulla aims to deliver the Nova concept and brand promise while playing a vital role in maintaining consistent delivery to elevate guest experience.
As he steps in as General Manager, Abdulla will be in charge of managing all aspects of the island, home to 76 opulent over-water and beach villas. A well-established expert in hospitality, Abdulla’s previous experiences have honed his skills in all areas of resort operations ranging from Finance, Room Divisions, and even F&B. Using this extensive skillset, Abdulla will maneuver operations in a motivated and leadership style that is centered on producing fruitful results.
With more than 20 years in the industry, Abdulla has gained multiple experiences in the field while working with several high-class resorts in the Maldives. He began his career at Hilton Maldives Rangali Island Resort & Spa after which he worked at Huvafen Fushi for a few years manning the daily F&B Operations and Front Office. His extensive experience and F&B landed him the role of F&B Operations Manager at Baros Maldives and in 2017 Abdulla joined the Pulse Hotels & Resorts as EAM Rooms. His commendable talents were recognized back then and he was offered the title of Resort Manager at Kandima Maldives just after a year.
An excellent communicator with a strong work ethic, Abdulla is marked for his excellence, creativity, and vibrant engagement in the work environment.
