MMPRC Participates In ITB Asia 2022 With 18 Industry Partners

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) is partaking in the 2022 edition of ITB Asia along with 18 industry partners from the Maldives. The event is taking place at Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore from the 19th-21st of October 2022. The fair will provide a platform for industry partners to showcase their properties, while MMPRC will inform travel trade about the latest updates and maintain destination presence among the South-East Asian (SEA) travelers.

As one of the leading travel B2B trade shows to grace the region, ITB Asia is designed as a primary event for the Asia Pacific travel industry. Numerous exhibitors attend the event including exhibiting companies from Africa, Asia-Pacific, Americas, Europe and the Middle East. The exhibitors feature segments from different sectors of the industry such as destinations, airlines & airports, hotels & resorts, theme parks & attractions and many more from tourism companies.

In the fair, MMPRC will advertise the Maldives as a preferred holiday destination and present the main products of Maldives, namely resorts, hotels, guesthouses and liveaboards. Moreover, MMPRC will highlight on the unique experiences available at the destination and promote Maldives as a safe place for travelers.

During the ITB Asia 2022, CEO and MD of MMPRC, Mr. Thoyyib Mohamed will also take part in a panel discussion titled ‘Destination Rediscoveries’. He would be speaking on the emergence of digital campaigns and virtual events as well as emphasizing on hybrid events and shifts in traveler trends with the help of a video presentation. He would be joined in the panel by Japan National Tourism Organization.

By September 2022, Maldives welcomed 23,080 tourists from the SEA Market. With the aim of becoming the most preferred destination in the SEA market, MMPRC has been holding many activities in the region. This includes joint-marketing campaigns with key stakeholders, outdoor advertising campaigns, participation in fairs, webinars, e-learning programs and etc. Notable campaigns featured in the activities comprise of the Cabvertising Campaign with MyBump Media and participation in Malaysia International Dive Expo (MIDE) 2022, MATTA 2022, Thailand Dive Expo 2022 and ADEX Asia Singapore 2022.
