MMPRC's E-Learning Platform for Russian and CIS Tour Operators Resumes

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Cooperation (MMPRC) have been taking a series of initiatives in order to promote the Maldives and encourage travellers from all over the world to give a shot to this tropical paradise for a luxurious holiday destination.

Russian tourists have for long been the strongest market in the Maldives. Although the year 2020 has started off roughly for the Maldives, with the borders reopening, the Russian market kicked off as the fourth highest arrival market to the Maldives, with an increase of arrivals by 29.6% compared to that of January 2019.

Russia is currently ranked as one of the top 10 countries in terms of arrivals amidst the pandemic and is expected to increase the arrivals with the recent resumption of flights from Russia to Maldives.

In order to attract the viable Russian market, MMPRC recommenced the E-Learning Platform in association with Profi + Travel for Tour Operators in Russia and CIS Countries. This platform was initially launched on February but was halted due to the Covid-19 situation. The main aim of this platform is to encourage tour operators in Russia and CIS Region to further increase bookings to the Maldives.

This platform is tailored to provide a detailed explanation of the Maldives and assist tour operators in choosing the best travel option for their customers. More than 2000 tour operators from Russia and CIS region are set to be trained in this platform.

Profi + Travel is a Russian based company that has over 20 years’ experience in conducting similar B2B campaigns and hence unique content that helps travel companies to increase their sales and provide expert analysis of the market trends.

The E-learning platform will provide all the information that tour operators would need of the Maldives. At the end of the course, participants who successfully prove their knowledge will be awarded a certificate and will be part of a loyalty program in which the tour operators with the highest number of bookings will be awarded holidays sponsored by Furaveri Maldives, Paradise Island Resort and Grand Park Kodhipparu.
