National Fishermen’s Day in Maldives

Yesterday, Fishermen’s day celebrations commenced with a fish trip. Next on the schedule is fishermen’s expo till 8thDecember at Huravee School, Fishermen’s Forum on 8th-9th and official ceremony on 10th of December.

As a part of this, Bank of Maldives kicked off a promotion till the end of the celebrations. Users of BML’s new Masveriya Card gets the opportunity to win hundred thousand MVR through a draw. This card was introduced this year for fishermen. It enables them to pay for expenses such as fuel and send money to friends and family.
