New Leadership at Sheraton Maldives: Ajay Jawahar Sharma Takes the Helm

Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Ajay Jawahar Sharma as its new Director of Operations, effective September 2024. With an impressive 18-year background in the hospitality industry, Sharma brings valuable experience from his previous roles, including six years with Marriott International.

Before joining Sheraton Maldives, Sharma served as the Executive Assistant Manager at W Goa, where he advanced from B&F Operation Manager to Assistant Director and then Director of Food & Beverage. His career has also included significant positions at renowned brands such as InterContinental Hotel Group, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, and Kempinski Hotels, showcasing his strong leadership skills in high-profile settings.

In his new role, Sharma will oversee all operations at the resort, ensuring that Sheraton Maldives continues to deliver its renowned high standards of service and exceptional guest experiences. Expressing his enthusiasm about the position, Sharma stated, “I am thrilled to join the team at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa. The resort’s reputation for delivering exceptional guest experiences is well-known, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success while working alongside the dedicated team to elevate operations to new heights.”

Sharma holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Meerut in India and has further enhanced his skills through various training programs and certifications. Beyond his professional life, he is a passionate cricket enthusiast who enjoys both playing and watching the sport. He also has a keen interest in traveling, exploring different cultures, and meeting new people.
