The all-new star resort, Nova Maldives is demonstrating its strong commitment to sustainability this March by linking hands to commemorate Earth Hour 2023. The worldwide celebration will be hosted on Saturday, 25th March and the Nova community has planned something special for guests to enjoy during the event.
On 25th March, all the lights throughout the resort will be switched off for Earth Hour between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm with commemorations held on the beach to observe the hour. The inspiring event will be kicked off with a fire lighting of the Earth Hour 60+ logo, which represents hope and unity to save the planet and showcases the power of collective action to safeguard the future and our planet.
Additionally, guests can enjoy a soulful barefoot dinner on the beach under the glow of candlelight. Live music and the stunning backdrop of the flaming logo and a thousand stars will further elevate the dining ambience. Moreover, Nova is also curating an astronomy experience for guests during the hour to learn more about the Maldivian night sky. Guests can embark on an awe-inspiring stargazing session with an Astro guide on the beach, discovering constellations and planets in the vast and visible celestial bodies above.
The Nova brand has always had deep roots in environmental stewardship, responsible tourism and supporting a sustainable future. Catering to these commitments, the resort engages guests in several green initiatives from Flora & Fauna workshops to Coral Frame Sponsorship Programs. Moreover, Nova Maldives has also pursued collaborations with conservation groups such as Maldives Whale Shark Research Program and promoted the local art community by hosting a plethora of events that displays Maldivian culture and heritage.
Through these initiatives, the resort continues to reduce its environmental footprint in the Maldives, attain mindfulness and protect the spellbinding beauty of the island nation. This enables Nova to preserve the unique ecosystem and delicate ecoculture of the islands, safely conserving it for generations to come.
