Paradise Island Appoints New Director Of Human Resources- Hassan Shifau

Yesterday, Villa Hotels & Resorts announced that a new Director of Human Resources will be taking over at their bespoke property, Paradise Island Resort & Spa. Hassan Shifau will be stepping into the role at this pivotal period for the resort, as the Villa group embarks on a transformative journey. In his new position, Shifau would contribute to the brand by delivering exceptional hospitality and elevating guest experience, a trait for which the Villa group is commemorated for.

Shifau began his hospitality career in the world-class luxury resort, One & Only Reethi Rah and since then has never looked back. Throughout his career, (extending over well over a decade) he has worked with world-famous luxury brands in the Maldives including Cheval Blanc Randheli, St. Regis and Gili Lankanfushi. Prior to joining the Paradise team, Shifau’s previous posting has been at Gili Lankanfushi, where he worked as the Human Resources Manager of the resort.

Bringing with him extensive knowledge and insights of the industry, Shifau will be leading the Paradise Island’s Human Resources team and hopes to improve the Villa brand’s dedication to curate a progressive, dynamic and lively culture. He will pave the way for building a strong team equipped with diverse skillsets and the capability to deliver authentic and genuine Maldivian hospitality. Additionally, Shifau will also be in charge of promoting the sustainability practices of the resort through driving awareness campaigns centered around conserving and protecting the natural environment.
