A De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter, the newest member to the Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) fleet, arrived at Velana International Airport yesterday evening, November 29th, 2021, after a long journey from Indonesia.
Just last October, TMA welcomed a new aircraft and is constantly expanding its fleet, with the goal of reaching the magic number of 60 aircrafts shortly!
Daily, more than 300 TMA flights take to the Maldivian skies, connecting guests from Velana International Airport to more than 80 resorts around the Maldives, highlighting Trans Maldivian's critical position in the Maldivian tourism industry.
With the opening of numerous significant markets, Maldives is having a busier season this year compared to the same time last year.
TMA, being the preferred link between guests and their destination resorts, is now better equipped to handle the increasing volume of tourist arrivals from current and new resorts, while also giving its partners more flexibility.
