President Ibu Solih on Human Rights

71 years ago on this day, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR): a momentous document proclaiming the inalienable rights which everyone is inherently entitled to as a human being regardless of race, color, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.

President Solih made a tweet in regards to this important day. He states that, “on Human Rights Day 2019, we commit to double our efforts to ensure that the values laid out in the UDHR are upheld. For, a right violated anywhere, is a right violated everywhere.” Solih’s administration commenced on November 17th 2018, and vowed to implement judicial reform, restore fundamental rights, and investigate the murder of a political activist and the forced disappearance of a prominent journalist. Today morning, President Solih attended the function to mark World Human Right Day 2019.
