Making it to the second annual list of the world's best new hotels of Town&Country magazine, is the Raffles Maldives Meradhoo, an isolated piece of pure luxury in the Maldives, where guests can experience two beautiful worlds in one.
Town&country reveals that the winners have been chosen from their own travel experiences and from the recommendations of a roundtable of the world's top travel specialists, who know the properties well, have personally checked them out or stayed in them, and/or have sent satisfied clients there.
What’s truly special about this luxury resort in the Indian Ocean is that it welcomes guests to two amazing worlds of elegance and pure nature. While the main private island is home to 22 villas, including Raffles Residences, Beach Villas and Deluxe Beach Villas, it is also the home of the nurturing, overwater Raffles Spa, the main pool and a soft white sand beach on which are found restaurants Thari and The Firepit, and the island interpretation of the legendary Long Bar.
The overwater island, which launched in 2019, features 16 villas, some facing east to greet the rising sun and others facing west to capture the magnificence of the Maldivian sunset. The Nikkei-inspired restaurant Yuzu, and adjacent bar Yapa are also found here – giving guests breathtaking views to enjoy with delectable food and drink as the amber sun dips below the endless Maldivian horizon.
The resort has recently increased their cleaning standards even further by launching the ALLSAFE Cleanliness & Prevention Label which represents some of the most stringent cleaning standards & operational protocols in the world of hospitality. So if you’re yearning to have a relaxing vacation here, you don’t have to worry about your safety.
There is a dedicated guest hotline to answer questions and to best prepare their stay. While social distancing is enforced in all common areas, contactless check- in, check- out and payments are carried out whenever possible. Sanitizers are provided in key public areas (front desk, elevators, restaurants, etc.) and safe room service provided at no extra charge in case of restaurant closures.
