Regarding Constructions Works in Lockdown

On 9th May, Male’ City Council made an announcement regarding the policies and precautionary measures of construction works that were ongoing before the lockdown and had been stopped. Action will be taken against groups that take any step against the policies.

Policies

• Send limited number of workers at the same time

• If there’s a worker who was tested positive or was a contact of a confirmed case, then the person should have finished quarantine or isolation period as instructed by HPA

• Anyone with the symptoms should not be sent to work

• Construction workers are to go home straightly after work and not to any other location.

Precautionary measures

• Maintain distance at work

• Heavy duty gloves and masks should be provided to workers

• Arrangements should be made to wash hands

• Workers should be in uniforms

• Workers should only be present in that particular construction site

• Before sending to the site, check for symptoms like fever.

• Maintain distance between delivery workers and construction workers
