Kandima Resort in Dhaalu Atoll has officially opened the Maldives' first go-kart racing track, marking a thrilling new addition to the island’s attractions. Stretching nearly 500 meters, this track is one of the longest in the region, allowing racers to hit speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour while navigating 12 exciting bends.
Focused on sustainability, the track features eco-friendly electric karts, providing an adrenaline-pumping experience without compromising the environment. Safety is paramount, with karts equipped with adjustable seating, safety barriers, and full seat belts to ensure a secure ride for everyone. Marshalls will be on hand to guide participants, allowing them to race with confidence.
The official opening is set for November 15, and Kandima Resort is offering special packages for children and families. New racers will receive a safety briefing on kart handling and driving techniques before hitting the track.
