The Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC / Visit Maldives) has launched an exciting series of roadshows aimed at the Middle East market as part of an attempt to provide a platform for industry partners on both sides to engage and establish relationships. The roadshows will take place in Saudi Arabia on May 23rd in Riyadh, then in Jeddah, and finally in Kuwait City on May 25th, 26th, and 27th, respectively.
Visit Maldives along with other industry partners, hopes to establish and maintain a strong B2B presence in GCC countries, communicate the most recent destination updates and recommendations with the travel trade, and ultimately raise GCC arrival figures. Furthermore, they will advertise Maldivian tourism luxuries such as resorts, hotels, guesthouses, and live-aboards during this event. The roadshow in Riyadh has 16 participants, the roadshow in Jeddah has 18 attendees, and the roadshow in Kuwait City has 16 confirmed participants.
The "Connect with Maldives...The Ultimate Dream Destination" roadshow kicks off with a warm introduction of the industry partners, followed by a destination presentation. The presentation showcases Maldives tourism, unique experiences offered here, and the most recent Maldives travel recommendations. During the roadshow series, the protection given by the Maldives' dispersed terrain is also stressed.
The roadshow presentation is followed by a productive night of networking and creating new business relationships. Approximately 80 agents from each city are invited by Visit Maldives to participate in the roadshow to maximize visibility. Industry partners can promote their properties, acquire new business contacts, and participate in one-on-one networking opportunities.
Moreover, a special raffle was held at the Riyadh Roadshow, sponsored by Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, providing a free trip to the Maldives to the lucky winner. Similar raffles are being sponsored by Villa Hotels & Resorts and Taj Exotica Resort & Spa for the roadshows in Jeddah and Kuwait City, respectively. MMPRC sponsors the second and third runner-ups in the raffle with a smartwatch and an Amazon gift card, respectively.
