Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort To Host Festive Artisan Market For The First Time

The intimate resort, Sheraton Maldives Full Moon has revealed that it will be hosting a first time-ever Artisan Market as part of the Festivities for the season. Set to take place on the 22nd of December 2022, the Artisan Market will be hosted at Kakuni beach where local artisans and designers will showcase their products to guests. Forming part of the resort’s culture and community-based initiatives, this market will provide a platform for participants to display their work while guests can explore the unique culture and heritage of the Maldives in a truly Maldivian way.
The event will be held from 1pm to 5pm on 22nd December and will be complemented by scenic vistas of the Indian Ocean, live performances and detectable bites, setting the mood for an enjoyable afternoon of fun. This event also coincides with the resort’s Tree and Festive Lighting Ceremony, commemorating the beginning of the festive season at the island.
A selection of vendors has been chosen to exhibit at the market including locally-popular brands. Oevaali Art Shop a jewelry, accessories, home & living and premium gifting brand will be displaying at the market while Mula Maldives will bring their reef-friendly sun screen to the island. Island Bazaar will feature a plethora of products ranging from accessories, scarfs, sarongs and tote bags and Toddy will showcase locally inspired clothing, beach essentials, headgear and jewelry. Guests can also find Island Culture among the participants, renowned for its paintings by Eagan Baadeu.
