Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa is excited to announce the appointment of Chef Maksat Zhulovchinov as the new Executive Chef, effective July 20, 2024. Chef Maksat, who previously served as the Executive Sous Chef at the resort, has played a pivotal role in enhancing its culinary offerings. His return brings over 17 years of extensive industry experience, including eight years with Marriott International.
Before rejoining Sheraton Maldives, Chef Maksat was the Multi-Property Executive Sous Chef at Le Royal Meridien Hotel Doha and held various prestigious positions at The Ritz-Carlton in Riyadh and Almaty. His culinary journey began at Almaty Business College, where he developed a strong passion for the culinary arts. Throughout his career, Chef Maksat has focused on quality and innovation, consistently delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Chef Maksat’s diverse background includes participation in pre-opening assignments for high-profile hotels, demonstrating his expertise in creating culinary experiences from the ground up. His leadership skills were recognized when he was nominated for ‘Best Manager of the Quarter’ in Doha in 2024, further highlighting his commitment to excellence in the culinary field.
Beyond his professional achievements, Chef Maksat enjoys traveling, reading, and participating in sports, which enrich his creative approach to cooking. His unique perspective will undoubtedly bring fresh ideas to the resort’s culinary team.
