Visit Maldives has launched a 30 days joint campaign with Palm Tour which commenced on July 2021. Palm Tour is Korea's leading overseas travel honeymoon travel agency which offers a wide range of Maldivian products.
It was launched to strengthen the influence of the brand and promote the honeymoon segment in the Korean market. The campaign includes online promotional activities and promotes the Maldives at honeymoon event.
Maldives will appear in the main banner of Palm Tour promotion with redirects towards Visit Maldives South Korean social media accounts. Keyword advertising on all platforms, sending out press releases and newsletters promoting will be done as a part of online advertising to portray Maldives as the most romantic destination for honeymoons.
On the honeymoon event that is held on August 22, 2021 to August 23, 2021, Prestigious Maldivian products and romantic honeymoon getaways would be displayed by Palm tours. During the event, an exclusive area will be held for the Maldives, emphasizing that the Maldives is one of the safest destinations due to the geographically dispersed islands and the strict measures taken.
Palm Tours will distribute destination brochures to all event visitors, focusing on the latest products, experiences, arrival procedures and travel guides during the event. It will emphasize the requirement that travelers who have been vaccinated against COVID19 abroad can be exempted from mandatory isolation for two weeks after arriving in South Korea.
To attract tourists to the Maldives area, a raffle will be held during the event which is sponsored by Hard Rock Hotel Maldives and The Residence Maldives, for a free vacation in the Maldives.
Palm Tours will also showcase the prestigious Maldivian products and romantic experiences for honeymoons during a honeymoon event held on 22nd to 23rd August 2021. It is expected that there will be approximately 80 reservations after the event.
Visit Maldives' strategy for the Korean market includes participating in social media events on all local social media platforms, participating in travel fairs, and focusing on advertising and promoting unique Maldivian tourism products and experiences.
