On 1st March, Summer Island marked their 5th anniversary with a week-long grand celebration at the luxury resort.

One of the oldest resorts in the country, Summer Island is built on Ziyaaraifushi. The Kaimoo group acquired the island in 1996, branding Ziyaaraifushi as the then-Summer Island Village. In 2015, the island was rebuilt from the ground up and rebranded into Summer Island Maldives.

Summer Island’s 5th anniversary kick started with a tree-planting ceremony. The day was lighten up by a special cocktail party.

The resort is known as one of the best beach resorts in the world, grabbing South Asia’s Leading Beach Resort title for 3 consecutive years from 2017 at the South Asian Travel Awards. Summer Island also won HolidayCheck Gold award in 2020.
