Supporting the Boating Industry of Maldives

On 25th January, Minister of Tourism Hon. Ali Waheed and National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) held a meeting at the Ministry of Tourism.

During the meeting, NBAM shared its concerns about the pending responses for tourism regulations, assistance in promotions and to ease ways in inspections of boats while obtaining and renewing the operations license.

Other concerns include travel agents selling vessels without the knowledge of owners, finding a way on attending to these cases and notify or to have a proper record of these fraud cases and the people involved.

It’s important to have a list of bare boat permit holders along with their information featured available on Tourism ministry’s website. Minister had assured full support to the association.
