Take Only Photos, Leave Only Bubbles - Dive Aware Week Against Debris

The oceans really need our help and now without any further ado, everyone can just do their small part in conserving the ocean. This week might be no different to some, but for those who are truly passionate about the ocean, such as PADI and Project AWARE, this week is a truly remarkable one as it is AWARE Week from 19th September to 27th September 2020, where one makes a solemn stand on protecting the ocean.

For this AWARE Week, PADI and Project AWARE are inspiring a powerful community of torchbearers, who are committed to exploring and protecting the ocean and leading communities towards a sustainable future.

The event is taking place all around the globe and as every year, will include activities focused on tackling the marine debris crisis, creating awareness for a plastic-free ocean, and empowering local communities to take positive actions for the protection of fragile aquatic environments.

Under the theme – Carry the Torch for Ocean Protection – PADI’s global dive community is invited to join the growing movement of PADI Torchbearers during AWARE Week to take action for the ocean, above and below the surface.

Five key goals will guide their actions now for the event as well as in the future, ensuring their individual contributions play into a wider movement that will ultimately turn the dial towards a healthy future for the people and planet. On each day of AWARE Week, both of PADI global dive community and PADI Torchbearers will dive into each Torchbearer goal and guide on how to get involved.

Grand Park Kodhipparu is delighted to be taking part in this amazing event and wishes to set an example for others by respecting marine life and protecting fragile habitat. Grand Park Kodhipparu requires those who are taking part in the event to do the following:
