Studies reveal that a vacation is beneficial for your heart health. It can actually decrease the number of metabolic symptoms in people, according to a study published in the journal Psychology & Health in 2019.
“Overall, vacations are experienced as positive events,” the study’s authors wrote. “This positive subjective experience may translate into physical health benefits given that vacation frequency may protect against metabolic syndrome and symptoms.”
Apart from improving your mental health, it is advisable that you take a break from the hectic schedule, whether it’s for a month or a long weekend. Whatever vacation or break you choose to take, don’t forget that you’re protecting your heart by doing it.
