The Biggest Kiteboarding Contest Starts Soon!

This will be the biggest kiteboarding competition held in the Maldives. It is set to start on the 5th of February and end on the 10th.

“This time, everything in the competition will be bigger. From the cash prize to everything else, it will all be bigger,” says a Raalhu Gudi official who is in charge of planning the event.

Due to the ongoing Covid19 situation, they had to limit the number of participants who could compete in this competition. Only about 30 contestants will be taking part this time.

The prize money is as follows;

• 1st place – MVR15,000

• 2nd place – MVR10,000

• 3rd place – MVR5,000

Those who wish to participate will have to message Raalhu Gudi on their Instagram page and the application process will continue from there. The finalists will travel from Male’ to Maafushi, all travel plans will be taken care of by Raalhu Gudi.
