The National Airline of Maldives Wins 2019 Airline Reliability Awards

The national airline of Maldives, Maldivian, has won the 2019 Airline Reliability Awards by De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited, a leading aircraft manufacturer. The Awards recognize operators of Dash 8 Series turboprops who achieve the highest rates of dispatch reliability. 

As a recipient of this prestigious award, Maldivian airline was congratulated during virtual meetings with De Havilland Canada's Chief Operating Officer, Todd Young and Vice President, Customer Services and Support, Amod Kelkar. "Our Airline Reliability Awards showcase the outstanding collaborative relationships between our operators, suppliers and De Havilland Canada's teams,” said Mr. Young.

The Dash 8-400 is the most productive turboprop on the market and is known as the “network builder” due to its short take-off and landing capabilities and efficient regional operations. The aircraft comes equipped with more seats, more legroom, more cargo and offers more flights per day.

The airline is among the 3 recipients of the Dash 8-100/200/300 Aircraft Program. While being the leading domestic airline of the country, Maldivian is also the only operator in the country who offer both seaplane and wheel base flights in Maldives. The airline operates daily frequent flights to 14 airports within the country and offers competitive air transfers to all resorts in the Maldives.
