The Official Tourism Golden Jubilee Steering Committee Announced

The Ministry of Tourism, together with MMPRC and insuatry stakeholders, have formed the official Tourism Golden Jubilee Steering Committee. Tasked with planning and execution of the golden year celebrations across the islands of the Maldives next year, the committee will be preparing for a grand year ahead.

11 members are part of the committee as below:

Maldives Association of Tourism Industry

Maldives Guest House Association

National Boating Association of the Maldives

Maldives Alliance of Dive Operation

Musicians Union of Maldives

Chefs Guild of Maldives

Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage

Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment

Ministry of Home Affairs

In the first official meeting held by the committee, discussions were held on the activity calendar for the celebrations. Additionally, opinions were discussed on the budgeting and facilitation of the celebrations planned.

Work of the committee will be carried out under the Ministry of Tourism. A special task force for the golden year celebrations preparations have also been formed.
