Wednesday 15th of May 2024

The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, introduces an exceptional series of retreats in a 'Summer of Renewal' that promises transformative experiences for guests. Partnering with experts in wellness, cuisine, and adventure, the resort offers a variety of programs aimed at rejuvenating body and mind.

As part of the resort’s Masters of Crafts program, this summer marks the introduction of surf retreats with renowned big wave surfers Nic von Rupp and Victor Bernardo. Held during the Maldives’ peak surf season in June and July, these retreats allow guests to master the four most popular waves in the North Malé Atoll: Chicken, Cokes Surf Break, Honkeys, and Jailbreak.

Nic von Rupp, a two-time finalist of the World Surf League Big Wave Performance of the Year, will lead the first retreat from June 8th-11th. Victor Bernardo, a Brazilian big wave surfer known for his early start in the sport and numerous accolades, will helm the second retreat from July 3rd-6th.

From July 19th-23rd, celebrity healer Susy Markoe Schieffelin, founder of The Copper Vessel, will offer a sound healing retreat. This program includes sound baths, crystal healing, and meditation sessions. Highlights include a full moon release fire ceremony, a chakra balancing yoga session, and a meditative sleep session in aerial hammocks.

Culinary enthusiasts can look forward to a pop-up residency with Michelin Star Chef Pam (Pichaya Soontornyanakij), Asia's Best Female Chef 2024, from August 10th-12th. Chef Pam will present an exclusive eight-course tasting menu at the resort’s Summer Pavilion restaurant, featuring innovative Thai-Chinese cuisine.

The summer series concludes with two retreats led by Abi Adams, founder of Project Woman, focusing on energy medicine. The first retreat, from August 14th-16th, involves an emotional journey using breathwork, meridian dancing, and yoga. The second retreat, from August 17th-18th, is women-only and focuses on female health and hormonal balance, incorporating meridian dance, music, yoga, and spa treatments.
