Up next in 2020’s list of sky treats is March’s Full Worm Moon, also called the Crow Moon, the Crust Moon, the Sap Moon, and the Lenten Moon.
The full March moon is most commonly called the “worm moon,” because of the earthworms that tend to emerge from the ground when winter turns to spring.
But this time you get a bonus before moonset and sunrise on Monday. Along with a bright large moon, you get to view a parade of four bright planets; Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and Mercury. The easiest one to spot will be Jupiter since it will be the brightest.
The full “Super Worm Moon” occurs at 5:48 p.m. Universal Time. Watch it take over the sky at 10 47pm on 9th of March in Maldives.
