Does your job get boring as you do the same thing over and over again? Well, these lucky fellows are having their dream jobs at the dreamiest destination in the world. Yes, it’s better than getting paid to sleep and Netflix all day. These two divers in the Maldives say that they have the best job in the world, cleaning the glass walls of a Maldives underwater restaurant!
Mosti and Kaleem are divers whose jobs are to jump into the beautiful azure water and dive 5.8 meters below the surface. They wash the glass walls of the world’s largest all-glass underwater restaurant at Hurawalhi Maldives. They say that this is a job that they do every day again and again and yet, it never gets boring for them.
The search for the elusive gastronomical heaven ends 5.8 meters below the Indian Ocean. This spectacular restaurant dazzles and delights diners with a multi-course tasting extravaganza, garnished with a state-of-the-art location. 5.8 is as much a fine dining culinary delight as it is an extraordinary design masterpiece – paired, you can sate your appetite and dive into the pleasure of having a view that but a few restaurants in the world afford.
Mosti and Kaleem make sure that the glass is always clear for the guests to see the stunning view. They dive into the water at least twice a day. Each clean takes about 30 minutes and this seems like enough time to admire the magical world. They use a special tool to scrub the surface, which is the only thing that can be used to clean the glass.
And the fact that these two are close friends, makes it a hundred times better. “For me, the best I would say is being underwater and being like you’re always going with some person that you know and you trust. So if something happens to you, he’s gonna be there right next to you,” said Mosti.
