Largest seaplane operator in the world, Trans Maldivian Airways has signed up as Sponsor for the annual camp if Blind and Visually Impaired Society of Maldives. “BVISM Aharee Camp 2021” scheduled to be held from October 28 to November 4 will take place in Male’, Hulhumale’ and Villingili.
The fifth edition of this camp is looking up to be a fun-packed lineup of exciting activities including First Aid Training, Exercise & Recreational Activities, Training for Emergency Response, Water Sports Day, Leadership Training Program, Aviation Training, and a Blood Donation Day.
In a special ceremony held for the handover of the donation at the TMA Seaplane Base on last Thursday, this initiative taken up under its Corporate Social Responsibility was conferred by TMA CEO A.U.M. Fawzy. Members of the company’s Senior Management presented the donation to the President of BVISM, Mr. Ali Sameem and their Media Coordinator, Mr. Abdulla Ziyaau were in attendance.
Since inception in 2010, BVISM has been advocating for the rights of the blind and visually impaired, fostering inclusivity for the differently abled. Over the years, a major positive resolve has been brought about with the continued efforts to increase public awareness for their community. TMA’s support for the organization promotes a holistic growth and inclusive development in the Maldives.
