Turkish Airlines Renews All Its Inflight Dining Menus

Monday 22nd of May 2023

In line with its reputed status as the airline with the world’s best inflight dining concept, Turkish Airlines has elevated its inflight dining menus to feature new and improved flavours and dishes. As the flag carrier of Türkiye that flies to more countries than any other airline in the world, the airline renewed its dining options for both domestic and international flights across all its business and economy classes.

Designed to promote Türkiye, the all-new menus will embark guests on a culinary exploration by bringing the flavourful tastes of traditional Turkish cuisine and other famous world cuisines. The airline sources 80% of its ingredients from local producers and the menu itself will pay homage to local and seasonal products the likes of which include Rize tea, Afyon kaymak(cream), and Erzincan honeycomb among others.

Moreover, the menus are designed by a team of expert chefs using the freshest ingredients in the boutique production style. Likewise, they will also reflect current healthy nutrition trends such as protein, vegetable, fruit-based and lower carbohydrate products, prepared using boutique cooking techniques especially catering to high volumes.

Economy class guests can expect a myriad of new offerings including egg dishes, homemade muesli and cheese varieties during breakfast hours, while mealtime flights will usher in regional appetizers served alongside freshly prepared pasta and grilled options. Business class meal services will make room for homemade pasts, dumplings and spaghetti options with main courses like Adana Kebab and grilled fish added to uplift dining experiences.

Another change that flyers can expect is three different main courses during the breakfast service, a departure from the conventional two main course options. The new one would include options such as delicious pancakes, crepes and French toast next to healthier breakfast items. Additionally, business-class guests can also expect to indulge in a selection of homemade mocktails and detox drinks, concocted from healthy ingredients while aboard the flight.

Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat stated: "As the flag carrier that offers the world's finest flavors to its guests through privileged concepts, we have prepared a menu that features traces of both traditional Turkish cuisine and world cuisines in our renewed menus. With this new concept, we have also initiated practices aimed at reducing plastic use and packaging waste within the scope of Turkish Airlines' Sustainability principle. While presenting Turkish flavors to our guests, we have also aiming to upload our paper menu cards to digital platforms for the sake of sustainability, allowing future generations to experience these tastes as well. We hope that our new menus will be appreciated by our guests, and we believe that we will continue our award-winning leadership in the field of inflight dining."
