Turkish Airlines X MIAT Mongolian Airlines Signs Codeshare Agreement

The flagship carrier of Türkiye, Turkish Airlines and the national carrier of Mongolia, MIAT Mongolian Airlines have announced the signing of a codeshare agreement between the two airlines. With this codeshare agreement, it will enable both carriers to facilitate more flexibility of choice to their passengers on direct flights between Türkiye and Mongolia as well as several connecting flights via Istanbul.
As part of this cooperation, Turkish Airlines will be offering Ulaanbaatar as its Marketing Carrier on flights operated by MIAT Mongolian Airlines. Likewise, MIAT Mongolian Airlines will be connecting passengers to multiple destinations in Europe and the U.S. through Turkish Airlines’ extensive global network. Consequently, it will allow customers of both airlines to make use of seamless connections during their travels.
The code “TK” will be used by Turkish Airlines on the Ulaanbaatar- Istanbul route flights operated by MIAT Mongolian Airlines. Whereas MIAT Mongolian Airlines will be placing its code “OM” on the Istanbul-Ulaanbaatar flights as well as 10 points beyond Istanbul operated by Turkish Airlines.
CEO of Turkish Airlines, Mr. Bilal EKŞİ commented “Both flag carriers enhanced their solid collaboration via signing this codeshare agreement and by increasing frequencies reciprocally between Istanbul and Ulaanbaatar. As a result, more Turkish and Mongolian passengers will be able to visit these two unique and beautiful countries, Türkiye and Mongolia. Besides, we will connect more destinations in light of the existing beyond points in the newly signed codeshare agreement.”
CEO of MIAT Mongolian Airlines, Mr. Munhktamir remarked “This is an important milestone in the cooperation of both companies. The agreement will enable the customer of both airlines with greater choice and connectivity.
