In aims to paying tribute to the wonders of the ocean, Vakkaru Maldives’ inspired theme of 50 Shades of Blue is curated into a year-long celebration of Baa Atoll. The resort has announced something whimsical to look forward to this Easter as well!
Tales of the Ocean Easter Celebrations will take place from April 1-7, kicking off with special Easter dinners hinted with romance and paired with Lobster and Champagne. Under the starlit skies, guests will be delighted to a crab-static set menu celebrating crustaceans from India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives – a very Indian Ocean Splash Buffet indeed!
Vakkaru’s sommelier also invites guests to the unique experience of tasting wine in an unusual setting – the sea! - an amble barefoot experience in the island’s pristine lagoon sampling away a special vintage collection.
The most looked-forward to event of the whole festivity will be the Baa 50 Shades of Blue Pool Party decorated in colors and vibrancy of Baa Atoll. Making things upbeat will be live performances from Aura Band, magnificent fire shows and exciting LED art shows. Families, be ready for a whole load of fun coming your way and start practicing for sand-castle building competitions, egg hunts, tennis tournaments and more!
Vakkaru’s marine biologists have a special trick up their sleeve too – a session reflecting on the Tales of the Ocean packed with knowledge about the Maldives. No visit to a Maldivian resort will be fulfilled without a traditional twist, right? You will also get to take part in Maldivian coconut painting competition. After all the fun, relax away into the night on Family Movie Night, a special moment of celebrating joy together.
Discover a spectacular seascape right in the backyard while you are on your holiday in Vakkaru. Departing from dive centre Splash, boats take only 15 minutes to reach Turtle Reef, where turtle sightings are virtually guaranteed. Scuba diving and snorkelling excursions can easily be arranged, as can sunset cruise, dolphin-quest, big game fishing and private yacht charters.
Tales of the Ocean is not only about fun. The encompassing experience focuses on physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of the guests throughout their holiday. Therefore, visiting internationally renowned wellness practitioner, Dominos Folgado will be sharing his expertise with guests in the form of innovative treatments at the overwater Merana Spa. Domingos also offers personal training sessions with various focuses to reach the guest’s personal fitness goals including core conditioning, weight loss and flexibility.
The Spa takes on more Easter offerings as guests can participate in sunset sound healing sessions, Pranayama meditation and Ayurveda, alongside complimentary yoga sessions by our resident yogi, Anna Tsoy, at the overwater yoga pavilion.
