Velaa Private Island To Host Padel Tennis Pro - Marta Marrero

Hailing from Spain, Marta Marrero is ushering in her world-class Padel Tennis skills to Velaa Private Island this January, providing a great opportunity for guests to hone their padel tennis skills. From January 25th to January 29th, Marta Marrero will be making an appearance at the pristine shores, to marvel guests with her adept skills. During her time at the resort, she will be offering private lessons for guests, giving them the chance to train with one of the best female padel tennis professionals in the world.

Prior to taking up padel tennis, Marta Marrareo was a former Spanish professional tennis player. Her most significant achievements as a player include reaching the quarter-finals of the French Open, securing two WTA doubles titles and creating an incredible collection of 14 ITF singles and doubles titles. She switched to padel tennis almost 11 years ago and has undoubtedly been conquering the sport as well. She is currently ranked 9 in the WPT ranking.

Velaa Private Island is home to several sports and fitness facilities. This includes the first-ever covered tennis court in the Maldives, a squash court, a football pitch, a fun climbing wall, and a state-of-the-art Technogym. The resort also boasts the Velaa Golf Academy and a sprawling golf course. The studio is equipped with the latest swing analysis technology and a Trackman stimulator to further elevate golf sessions.
