Set to be operationalized by the end of 2024, the terminal will accommodate up to 7.5 million passengers annually, offering modern amenities and retail outlets.

In addition to terminal and runway upgrades, VIA has invested in critical facilities such as a new fuel farm and fuel hydrant system, ensuring the seamless operation of airlines and enhancing safety standards. The introduction of a new cargo terminal has tripled the airport's cargo-handling capacity, supporting the country's economic growth and trade activities.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's visionary plan for VIA outlines a comprehensive roadmap for the airport's future development. With a focus on sustainability and innovation, VIA aims to accommodate up to 25 million passengers annually over the next two decades, further solidifying its position as a leading aviation hub in South Asia.
