As part of the global ‘Redefining MICE Campaign’ by Visit Maldives, the first roadshow specifically dedicated in promoting the MICE opportunities to Maldives was held in Corinthia, London on November 3rd by Visit Maldives. The main purpose being to promote Maldives as the safe haven that it is, a top emerging destination worldwide, to conduct meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) events.
Through this campaign, Maldives is promoted as a destination that is flawless to effortlessly merge business with leisure by promoting different experiences. During the roadshow, latest destination information and travel guidelines to the travel trade and tourists who visited. Around 20 industry partners from Maldives participated in the event, where they were given the opportunity to hold meetings and conferences with 50 top travel agencies. A destination presentation was also shown to the attendees.
In such a big platform, such events conducted will definitely have a big positive impact on the growing travel industry in the Maldives. There was a raffle draw taken place to conclude the event where three lucky winners got the chance to have a complimentary stay at SAii Lagoon Maldives, Hardrock Hotel Maldives and 2 pax Economy Class flights from London to Maldives via Etihad Airways.
