Luxury Travel Mart (LTM) is the most successful event in the luxury travel segment in Russia. This is a B2B event for companies that offer luxury products, who wish to establish new contacts and strengthen old ties on the Russian and CIS markets. Participants of LTM comprise of five-star hotels, resorts, as well potential investors in the field of leisure and travel industry, tour operators and travel agents with VIP clients.
Traditionally, the Russian market is one of the strongest markets to the Maldives and has been performing exceptionally well this year as well. As of 21st April, the Russian market is currently the top second-highest performing market to the Maldives with an arrival figure of 78,847 as per the stats by the Ministry of Tourism.
To further boost the market and to establish Maldives as the top-of-the-mind luxury destination among Russian travelers, Visit Maldives took part in LTM 2021 held in Moscow from 22nd April to 23rd April. During the two-day event, Visit Maldives met with key luxury trade professionals to deliver the most updated destination information and the experiences provided in Maldives with stress on the higher-end segment, leisure and luxury. 54 pre-scheduled one-to-one meeting were joint and speed networking sessions with travel trade was also conducted in order to establish strong business connections as well as to increase the brand visibility and awareness of Maldives.
Additionally, ‘one island one resort’ concept was highlighted as well to reassure the geographical formation of Maldives guarantees safety for travelers.
Maldives was given further exposure through destination sponsorship. Accordingly, the island paradise was featured on the press walls, backdrops, charging stations, lanyards and promotional materials of the fair.
Apart from this event, Visit Maldives have conducted several marketing initiatives focused on the Russian and CIS markets whereas many are in pipeline.
