This Wednesday, Qatar Airways debuted in the largest city in the African nation of Côte d’Ivoire, as the airline landed its first flight at the Felix Houphouet Boigny International Airport in Abidjan. This marks the beginning of regular services from Doha to Abidjan thrice a week via Accra.
Qatar plans to utilize their state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner featuring 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class for this newly introduced route. The aircrafts have a capacity of up to 15 Tonnes of cargo.
The growing demand for trade with Côte d’Ivoire will be catered to by the launch of Abidjan as a destination of Qatar Airways. Many interested parties such as Paris, Beirut and many points in the Indian subcontinent are already on Qatar Airways’ network hence, the airline will play a key role in facilitating the requirements.
Travellers flying to Côte d’Ivoire can take advantage of new baggage allowances designed to offer more flexibility and comfort while travelling. It ranges from 46 Kg for Economy Class split over two pieces and 64 Kg split over two pieces in Business Class.
