Kanruethai ‘Kan’ Roongruang began her journey with the Banyan Tree Group in 1997. Since then, she has worked in various managerial roles and held significant positions across a number of the hotel chain’s properties internationally.
It includes Manager of Canal Village, Laguna Phuket where she started off as the Manager of the property, and then advanced to experience Banyan Tree Spa & Gallery locations such as Bangkok, India, Phuket, UAE, and Malaysia. She was subsequently promoted to VP for Spas & Gallery Operations after proving her commitment to providing the utmost finest hospitality in line with the group’s ethos.
Kan has overlooked preopening operations of properties such as Angsana Villas Phuket Resort, Laguna Holiday Club Phuket Resort, and Angsana Laguna Phuket as the Hotel Manager. She is also a high potential LEAFer in Banyan Tree’s LEAF, a program that develops senior managers with the aptitude to lead the group.
Voyaging ahead, Kan has made her way to the Maldives as the newly appointed General Manager of Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Angsana Ihuru. She will be combining 20 years of her experience developing Banyan Tree’s Post-Covid Wellbeing Drive for Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, the brand’s new journey that caters to the wellbeing curious.
