You Can Now Travel at Anytime to Fushifaru Maldives

Fushifaru Maldives has announced that the option for domestic transfer directly to the resort is now available thanks to the opening of Madivaru Airport in Lhaviyani Atoll last month. Fushifaru has partnered with Maldivian so that flights from Velana International Airport to Madivaru Airport can be booked directly with the resort.

Lhaviyani has only been serviced by seaplanes during the daytime until now. The opening of Madivaru Airport overcomes the limitation of only seaplanes being able to operate in daylight.

Male’s Velana International Airport is a 25-minute flight away from Madivaru Airport, from which Fushifaru is another 15-minute speedboat ride away.

Madivaru Airport has commenced operation with four flights per day until the end of October, scheduled to minimize wait times for arrivals and departures of international flights.

Fushifaru guests can use the airport lounges “Moonima Lounge” at the Domestic Terminal at Velana International Airport, and “Madivaru Airport Lounge” at the Madivaru Airport. The services and facilities provided in these lounges are comparable to other business-class airport lounges of repute.

Fushifaru resort guests now have two options to access the resort; a 35-minute seaplane transfer, or a 25-minute domestic flight paired with a 15-minute speedboat ride.
