Rasdhoo Divers at Kuramathi Maldives proudly announces that 11-year-old Ethan Evans has set a new world record for the most scuba dives completed before the age of twelve. Ethan, from Warden Villages, surpassed the previous record of 102 dives and now aims to reach 150 dives.
Ethan's diving journey began at just nine years old, inspired by his father, Paul Evans, an ocean conservationist. Paul’s dedication to ocean conservation and exploration in the Maldives greatly influenced Ethan. After earning his open water certification at age ten, Ethan spent six weeks this summer diving around the Maldives, averaging two to three dives daily.
Adil Khalid, an instructor at Rasdhoo Divers Kuramathi since 2004, has been instrumental in Ethan's development, guiding him from his first dives to advanced training. Adil praised Ethan’s confidence and composure underwater.
The team at Rasdhoo Divers Kuramathi also extended their gratitude to Paul Evans for his support. “Adil’s expertise and Paul’s support have been crucial to Ethan’s progress,” they noted.
As Ethan continues to pursue his goal of 150 dives and dreams of becoming a diving guide in the Maldives, his story highlights the potential of young divers and the power of dedicated support. Ethan’s commitment to ocean conservation, alongside his record-breaking achievements, underscores his passion for both diving and protecting the marine environment.
Congratulations to Ethan Evans for his remarkable achievement and dedication to ocean conservation. Rasdhoo Divers Kuramathi is honored to be part of his extraordinary journey and looks forward to supporting his future endeavors.
