Kandolhu Maldives is lush, wide sandy beaches surrounding the emerald green lagoon, and it is home to one of the Maldives' most colorful and active house reefs. To this gorgeous hub, a new addition has been made to their dedicated crew team. Executive Chef Andrew Smith has made his way to Kandolhu Maldives, raising the bar as a prestigious dining destination in the North Ari Atoll.
Chef Andrew is a British national with 14 years of experience working in Michelin-starred restaurants, private resort islands, and luxury properties in the United Kingdom, the Maldives, and the Seychelles. His key accomplishments include earning a Michelin star while working as Sous Chef at Thackeray's in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, fueled by a desire to exceed expectations.
In his first three months as Group Head Chef at George & Dragon in 2011, he earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand. Chef Andrew worked as a consultant chef at Oakley Hall Hotel and at a Michelin-starred fine-dining restaurant in London before joining Kandolhu Maldives.
