Piumi Gamanayake has been appointed as the Marketing and Communications Manager for Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives, the Park Hotel Group's first luxury resort in the island nation, an iconic resort that is located in the heart of North Malé Atoll. Piumi brings a wealth of tourism, marketing, and hospitality experience to her new position, which will see her oversee the marketing department and guide the resort's advertising strategy.
Prior to joining Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives, Piumi worked as the Marketing and Communications Manager for Viluxur Maldives and with Leo Burnett Worldwide, one of the oldest and largest advertising firms in the world. Piumi received her Bachelor of Economics from the University of London and her Master of International Sustainable Tourism Management from Monash University in Australia as an Australia Awards Scholar. She is also a Chartered Institute of Marketing UK member and alumna.
It’s safe to say that Piumi is a senior marketing executive with more than ten years of experience in marketing and communications in the hospitality and tourism industries. Her mandate includes key markets such as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), India, Europe, the United States, and Singapore, with a focus on engaging both the digital travel trade and consumer media.
