Aitken Spence Hotels Maldives, which has 7 resorts in the Maldives under the brands Adaaran Resorts and Heritance Hotels & Resorts, has donated 12,000 surgical masks to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in the Maldives. 

All the resorts- Heritance Aarah, Adaaran Club Rannalhi, Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi, Adaaran Select Meedhupparu, Adaaran Prestige Ocean Villas, Adaaran Prestige Vadoo and Adaaran Prestige Water Villas- have put in place an enhanced health and safety protocol under ‘Spence Safe’ initiative.

Aitken Spence Hotels has taken stringent measures to enact elevated precautionary operational protocols that address heightened safety and health, to give guests peace of mind regarding future stays. These protocols are based on international and local health and safety guidelines and have been enhanced by in-house experts to provide you, a safe environment.

As Maldives has announced the opening of borders on 15th of July, Adaaran Resorts and Heritance Hotels & Resorts in the island nation are eager to welcome back guests soon. And when you return to these luxurious idyllic islands, you are guaranteed a safe and relaxing holiday. Here are some of the key measures under Spence Safe.

Arrivals & Departures

• All guests will be subjected to temperature check prior to boarding the chosen method of transport (speedboat / seaplane ). Guests are requested to share receipt of on-arrival PCR testing before boarding transfer vessels

• If a guest shows temperature above 37.6 0C, he/she will be directed to local healthcare experts and upon confirmation of safety, will be taken transported to the designated resort

• All transfer vessels will be disinfected following local healthcare guidelines. Your transport provider will be equipped with mask and gloves; and will be confirmed safe with temperature checks and PCR tests

• Masks and sanitizing is compulsory before boarding the transfer vessel

Check-in & Check-outs

• All guests are required to submit the duly filled Health Declaration Form at check-in to assure safety of all guests and associates

• For couple, family or group check-ins, the presence of only one guest from the party to approach the Front Desk for verification. Areas will be demarcated for queuing

• Guests are encouraged to inform Front Desk of checkout times 12-hours in advance to keep ready the necessary documentation to expedite processes

On- arrival Quarantine

• As per Governmental regulations, guests will be restricted to their rooms / villas until the on-arrival PCR screening results are received

• During this period, all meals will be served directly to the room / villa without contact

• As per guidelines, linen changes will be restricted during this period. However, the team will be pleased to assist you with your requirements

Accommodation

• Your choice of accommodation has been deep cleaned and sanitized following health and safety protocols

• Cleaning service will be provided every three-days, unless requested otherwise, by trained associates using hospital-grade disinfectants wearing the necessary gloves, masks and protective gear

• In-room dining order will be specially packaged and delivered to your room without contact. Appreciate if the guest receives same at door as our associates will not enter your room/villa. Once done, leave your trays outside for pick up. Limited in-room dining menu available

Restaurants & Dining

• Groups and couples will be seated in clusters as per the pre-confirmed numbers

• To-go breakfast boxes are available for guests who prefer to dine in their room/villas

• Based on the number of guests in-house, the resorts will offer laminated a la carte menu instead of buffet meals to promote safety. These will be wiped clean after each use. Where possible, the resorts will host action stations to provide freshly prepared meals

• For restaurants providing buffet meals, floor markings will be arranged to facilitate compliance with physical distancing

Further, health & safety measures are implemented in the resorts’ various facilities such as the gym and the spa as well as public spaces for the safety of both guests and team members.
