Emirates Re-starts Passenger Flights to Male`, Maldives on 16th July

Emirates, the state-owned flag carrier airline based in Garhoud, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has announced that the airline will be restarting passenger flights to the Maldives on 16th of July. This brings Emirates’ network to 52 destinations in the month, offering travelers convenient connections between the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas through its Dubai hub.

The airline is ensuring the health and safety of customers and employees on the ground and in the air. When you arrive on board, all cabin crew will be in full personal protective equipment (PPE). You will need to wear your mask at all times throughout the flight, except when eating or drinking and depending on local regulations, you may also need to wear gloves or other PPE.

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), the government-owned company managing the Velana International Airport in Maldives, has launched discounts for international airlines after Maldives reopens borders on July 15. Emirates is one of the 10 airlines that had requested slots at the airport.

Before travelling on Emirates flights to the Maldives, note that the baggage allowance for your flight will depend on your class of travel: 30kg in Economy Class, 40kg in Business Class and 50kg in First Class.
