Amilla Fushi Maldives Resort and Residences is temporarily closing down its resort – but is preparing to come back on 1st of July this year, announces the resort in a press release. This decision was taken due to the coronavirus outbreak which is striking the tourism industry hard.
The island nation has restricted entry from several countries, while many countries also advised their citizens not to travel. This resulted in a large drop in the number of arrivals to the Maldives and Amilla Fushi. The top resort decided to seize the opportunity to shake things up and come back with some thrilling new changes in a few months.
Over the past 6 months, the resort has come up with plenty of ground-breaking new concepts and enhanced its sustainability ethos to offer guests an unparalleled luxury experience. Amilla Fushi’s unique glamping experience provides the perfect opportunity to experience luxury and nature at the same time.
During the temporary suspension, Amilla Islanders will be working on even bigger and better innovations. Other than essential maintenance works on the chic, minimalist Villas and Residences to polish Amilla’s renowned sparkle, they’ll be further developing the enticing F&B offerings under the leadership of Chef Mickaël Farina creating a fresh new look with landscaping to enhance the naturally lush island.
As the resort plans to return with a stunning comeback, they’re keeping their biggest changes unrevealed. Amilla Fushi informs that any guests currently staying on the island or coming to stay at a Residence will continue to be treated with Amilla’s signature charismatic service and adjusted hospitality.
