Amilla Maldives Resort & Residences has announced its partnership with Royal Timeless & Challenging (RTC) Tennis as the resort’s new celebrity coaching and tennis services provider. Under this partnership, RTC will be organizing exclusive events, matches and masterclasses at the Amilla Maldives property alongside famed tennis stars and pro tennis players. Moreover, regular coaching sessions will also be conducted for guests by top-tier tennis athletes.
The eco-friendly island of Amilla Maldives is home to two full-size jungle tennis courts equipped with floodlights for guests to play during the cooler times of the day. The cobalt-blue surfaces of the courts recently finished works and are now in line with the same standards as those used in the US Open.
As Amilla’s new tennis partner, RTC will be designing events and sessions suited to every skill level among guests. Thus, it will include one-on-one adult and junior tennis lessons with a pro coach, where guests can try to improve their tennis skills through short sessions. The RTC also opens the prospect for guests to participate in the peerless RTC Certificate Programme.
For rookies and amateurs, Amilla Maldives ropes in informal Tennis Academy coaching carried out in small groups and part of the resort’s complimentary scheduled activities programme for the week. As for guests looking to perfect or hone their tennis skills further, advanced lessons and workshops can also be arranged catering to each guest’s individual playing level.
Hailing from Slovakia, Tennis Director Marcus Drien will oversee all tennis activities on the property. With extensive coaching experience both in his home country and overseas in Maldives as well as further afield, Marcus will elevate the tennis experience in Amilla by limits.
The new partnership also aligns with Amilla Maldives’ goal to become the Best Fitness Resort in the Maldives. Catering to this aspiration, the resort is already home to an outdoor sustainable Jungle Gymnasium and two separate Cardio & Strength studios to help guests keep in shape during their holidays. Adding to this is the state-of-the-art Movement Pavilion featuring a myriad of options for fitness fanatics. This includes Yoga, Pilates and for a more mindful experience a walk on the new meditation path.
