The award-winning St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort is set to host Fann Art Therapie, a renowned Singapore-based art collective, from August 20-23, 2024. Families staying at the resort will have the unique opportunity to participate in workshops designed to foster creativity and relaxation amidst the breathtaking Maldivian scenery.
Fann Art Therapie, known for its captivating string art and mandala creations, invites guests of all ages and skill levels to immerse themselves in the art-making process. The four-day residency will feature a series of workshops spread throughout the resort, providing a tranquil environment for creativity and expression. Unique creations from Fann Art Therapie will also be displayed throughout the property, allowing guests to appreciate the art up close and interact with the artists.
Founded in February 2018 by Zechai Kee and Leow Yee Yng, Fann Art Therapie aims to help individuals reconnect with themselves and their relationships through art. Emphasizing the process over the final product, the collective encourages self-expression and mindfulness. The workshops at St. Regis Maldives are designed to offer guests a way to destress, disconnect, and discover their inner artist.
The workshop schedule includes:
Tuesday, August 20th: An introductory string art workshop for children, inspired by a whale shark, at Vommuli House.
Wednesday, August 21st: A mandala art workshop for all ages in the Drawing Room, exploring the calming effects of string art and the cultural symbolism of mandalas.
Thursday, August 22nd: An advanced manta-ray themed string art workshop in the Drawing Room, focusing on specific techniques.
Friday, August 23rd: Exclusive in-villa string art and mandala sessions for guests in the resort’s Premium Villas, offering a personalized and intimate experience with limited slots.
