Atmosphere Core has announced the promotion of Krishna P. Chalise to Senior Vice President Projects, a major step in strengthening its leadership team. In this new role, Mr. Chalise will lead the development and execution of all projects across the Maldives—one of the company’s most important regions for growth.
With more than two decades of experience in hospitality development across the Maldives and Nepal, Mr. Chalise is known for turning visionary ideas into successful, world-class resorts. His work covers every stage of a project, from planning and design to execution and delivery, always with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and cost control.
“Krishna has played a pivotal role in resort development projects for us,” said Salil Panigrahi, Group Managing Director of Atmosphere Core. “His understanding of the Maldivian landscape and his ability to deliver complex projects efficiently make him the right person to lead our next phase of expansion in the Indian Ocean.”
Since the company’s early days, Mr. Chalise has led the development of more than a dozen islands in the Maldives, with projects valued at nearly half a billion dollars. He is skilled at navigating local regulations and delivering high-impact, cost-effective resorts on time—often ahead of schedule.
He is also known for achieving strong results through market research, smart design, and value engineering, ensuring high quality and early openings while saving costs.
Commenting on his promotion, Mr. Chalise said, “If you want to succeed for tomorrow, be honest in your work and do it today. This new role is both an honour and a responsibility. I am thankful for the trust shown in me as we continue to build sustainable, guest-focused resorts that raise the bar for travel experiences in the Maldives.”
